Ryan was the first in his family to go to college.
Like many young adults, he wanted to understand more about money and investing to make better decisions. His interest drove him to formally study, learn, and share his knowledge with others as a career. Now as the Director of Operations for Hickory Asset Management, Ryan ensures every client has an exceptional experience and oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations as well as compliance. He draws on more than 25 years of experience to provide clients with sound financial advice, recognizing and implementing wise investment practices.
Prior to joining Hickory Asset Management in 2002, Ryan worked for ValMark Securities, L.M. Kohn and Company and Hickory when it was formed. He graduated with honors from the University of Akron with a degree in finance and a minor in economics. Soon after that, he received his Certified Financial Planner® designation.
A father of three sons, Ryan and his family live in Broadview Heights, Ohio. He and his wife (his high school sweetheart) spend their free time watching their sons compete in sports year round. With a supportive network of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, the Robaugh crew attends as many events as they can including cross country, track, basketball, baseball, and soccer games. Ryan also enjoys riding and racing motorcycles.
